Horizontal Centrifugal Pump Selection
The technical parameters of the horizontal centrifugal pump generally match user requirements:
1. Flow rate: 389 m³/h (meets requirements ≥ 389 m³/h)
2. Head: 68 m (higher than the design value of 55 m; system resistance curve verification required)
3. Power: 110 kW (compatible with AC 380V/50Hz power supply)
4. Pressure capacity: 1.6 MPa (meets system maximum pressure requirements)
Temperature adaptability: The cast iron pump body + mechanical seal can withstand 110°C hot water for a short period of time, but the risk of thermal deformation should be assessed for long-term operation.
II. Reliability Assessment of Key Components
Material Selection
The cast iron pump head and impeller can be used in 110°C clean water conditions for a short period of time, but for long-term operation, the following considerations apply:
Cast iron is susceptible to oxidative corrosion at high temperatures (recommended). Regularly check wall thickness)
If the medium contains chloride ions (such as cooling water), upgrade to 316L stainless steel.
High-temperature performance comparison between cast iron and stainless steel:
The recommended long-term operating temperature for cast iron is ≤80°C.
316 stainless steel can operate stably at 120°C.
Sealing system
Mechanical seal configuration details required:
The material of the rotating ring should be ≥ silicon carbide (SiC).
Alumina ceramic is recommended for the stationary ring.
A quenching device is required (110°C is close to the maximum temperature of the mechanical seal).
